What MetWipe does

MetWipe is a privacy utility by Ecrin Labs focused on helping people inspect and remove supported metadata before sharing files. The main tool runs supported cleaning operations inside the browser so the selected file does not need to be sent to a MetWipe application server for processing.

Why metadata matters

Photos and documents can carry information that is easy to overlook: device model, capture time, GPS coordinates, software details, author properties and other embedded fields. MetWipe makes those details easier to inspect and, for supported formats, remove.
