METWIPE IMAGE SUITE

One privacy workflow. More image formats.

JPEG, PNG and WebP can carry metadata in different structures. MetWipe now provides local inspection/cleaning workflows for supported metadata and batch processing without an application upload server.

JPEG Privacy Cleaner

Detailed EXIF inspection, GPS/device/date risk scoring, lossless metadata segment stripping and post-clean verification.

PNG Metadata Cleaner

Removes common textual and EXIF-style metadata chunks while preserving core image chunks and pixel data.

WebP Metadata Cleaner

Removes EXIF and XMP RIFF chunks while preserving the encoded WebP image payload.

Batch Privacy Clean

Select multiple supported photos, clean them locally and download a single ZIP containing the cleaned copies.

Privacy Receipt

Generate a local text report showing file name, detected metadata type, cleaning result and verification status.

Share-safe workflow

Original files remain unchanged. Cleaned copies are verified before they are offered for download.

HOW IT WORKS

Inspect. Clean. Verify.

MetWipe is designed around the actual task rather than a fake demonstration panel. Your scan results only appear after you select your own JPEG.

1. Inspect metadata

Read common EXIF fields such as phone or camera model, timestamps, GPS, software and camera settings.

2. Remove supported metadata

Strip supported JPEG metadata segments without adding another lossy JPEG compression pass.

3. Verify the output

The generated cleaned file is scanned again before the tool reports it as verified.

EXTENDED PRIVACY SUITE

Images, audio and Office files.

MetWipe keeps the same animated Scan → Detect → Clean → Verify workflow across every format that is genuinely implemented in this build.

MP3 Metadata Cleaner

Detects and removes ID3v2 metadata at the beginning of MP3 files and ID3v1 tags at the end, then verifies the cleaned output.

WAV Metadata Cleaner

Removes common RIFF metadata chunks such as LIST/INFO, bext, iXML and ID3 while preserving the audio data chunks.

DOCX Privacy Cleaner

Removes core document properties such as author, last modified by, title, subject and description from OOXML packages.

XLSX Privacy Cleaner

Cleans workbook core metadata inside the OOXML ZIP container while keeping workbook content intact.

PPTX Privacy Cleaner

Cleans presentation core metadata using the same local OOXML package workflow.

Animated Verification

Every supported cleaner shows visible progress, staged checks and a final verified state instead of instant fake success.

FAQ

Common questions.

What is EXIF metadata?

EXIF metadata can contain camera or phone information, timestamps, camera settings and sometimes GPS coordinates inside JPEG files.

Does MetWipe upload my photo?

No. The current supported JPEG scanner and cleaner works locally in your browser.

Does metadata removal reduce JPEG quality?

The cleaner removes supported metadata segments while keeping the encoded JPEG image data, avoiding an additional image re-encode.

Is a 100/100 Privacy Score a security guarantee?

No. The score is a heuristic for supported metadata fields. Visible content can still reveal faces, addresses, documents, landmarks and other information.
