1. File processing
MetWipe is designed so supported files are processed locally in your browser. The file-cleaning tool does not intentionally upload the contents of files you select to a MetWipe application server. Your browser creates the cleaned copy on your device.
Local processing applies to supported MetWipe cleaning features. Normal website requests, such as loading pages or third-party advertising services, are separate from the file-cleaning operation.
2. Information we may receive
Like most websites, hosting and network providers may receive standard technical data needed to deliver the site, such as IP address, browser/device information, requested URL, date/time and basic request logs. MetWipe does not ask you to create an account for the free browser tool.
3. Cookies, analytics and advertising
MetWipe may use third-party services for analytics, consent management or advertising, including Google services, when those services are enabled. Those providers may use cookies, local storage or similar technologies according to their own policies and the consent choices available to you where required by law.
If Google AdSense is enabled, Google and its partners may process information to provide, measure, personalize or limit advertising. Where applicable, MetWipe will use a consent mechanism appropriate for the visitor's region.
4. Your files and retention
MetWipe does not intentionally retain copies of files processed by supported local cleaning tools because the processing occurs on your device. Downloaded cleaned files and privacy receipts remain under your control.
5. External links and third parties
The site may link to third-party websites or services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies. MetWipe is not responsible for the content or privacy practices of third-party sites.
6. Children
MetWipe is a general-purpose utility and is not directed specifically to children. We do not intentionally ask users to submit personal profiles through the tool.
7. Policy updates
This policy may be updated when the site, its advertising setup or other services change. The current version will be published on this page.
