EXIF Viewer: see the hidden data inside a JPEG

JPEG photos can contain more than visible pixels. EXIF metadata may record the camera or phone model, capture time, editing software, exposure details and sometimes location coordinates.

What an EXIF viewer can reveal

Common fields include manufacturer, device model, date taken, modified date, lens, ISO, exposure, aperture and GPS data. Not every photo contains every field.

Why check before sharing

If a JPEG contains GPS coordinates or a detailed timestamp, that information may disclose more than you intended when the original file is shared.

How MetWipe handles the file

MetWipe reads supported JPEG metadata locally in the browser. The current build does not require a file upload to an application server.

Use the free MetWipe scanner

Inspect supported JPG/JPEG metadata, review privacy-relevant fields, remove supported metadata and verify the cleaned copy locally in your browser.
