What can an EXIF viewer show?

What the viewer cannot establish
No supported metadata detected means the parser did not find the targeted fields. It does not establish who created the image, where it originated or whether visible content is private. A photo can reveal a location through signs, landmarks or addresses even when GPS metadata is absent.

Can a JPEG contain GPS coordinates?
Yes. Some cameras and phones can store GPS data in EXIF, but the presence of location metadata depends on the device, settings and processing history.
Does viewing EXIF change my photo?
Inspection is separate from cleaning. You can view the supported fields without downloading a modified copy.
How do I remove metadata after checking it?
Use the MetWipe EXIF remover, then inspect the generated copy again to verify the targeted fields.
Does no GPS metadata mean the location is private?
No. Visible content can still disclose a place even when the file contains no supported GPS fields.
