WebP is a RIFF-based format and may include EXIF and XMP chunks. MetWipe removes supported metadata chunks without decoding and recompressing the image payload.

MetWipe re-inspects the generated output before reporting supported metadata as removed.
The original file is not overwritten. A separate cleaned copy is generated.
